Recently, Guangzhou made another important move in forging an international aviation hub.  Guangzhou Municipal General Aviation Development Plan (2016-2030) formulated under the leadership of Guangzhou Municipal Development and Reform Commission was officially issued in the name of the municipal government. It is learnt that Guangzhou has proposed the aim of forging “a comprehensive service base for China’s important general aviation and a business aviation operation center in the Asia-Pacific region” and planned to build an A-level general airport in Nansha and Conghua respectively.
