Guangzhou has registered 1.2 million of market entities of various kinds (including branches) as of March 2015, according to Guangzhou Municipal Administration for Industry and Commerce. In the first quarter, Guangzhou newly registered 45,011 domestic-invested businesses, with a total registered capital of RMB120.256 billion, up 20.08 percent and 215.84 percent on a year-on-year basis.

 

Of the 1.2 million market entities, the domestic-invested market players (including branches) reached 1.18 million and the foreign-funded reached 20,000. Of the domestic-invested market players, the number of private enterprises reached 384,737, with a total registered capital of RMB886.3 billion, up 25.41 percent and 73.96 percent YoY, respectively. The individually-owned businesses reached 751,856 with a total registered capital of RMB16.5 billion, up 6.04 percent and 13.39 percent, respectively.

 

The data shows that in the first quarter, the total number of various market players has been on an uptrend and the economy has continuously maintained a stable and rapid growth. A total of 22,712 private enterprises was newly registered, with a total registered capital of RMB100.713 billion, up 50.77 percent and 303.97 percent YoY, respectively.
